An Interpretation

A friend I know wrote this poem and it resonated with me so I thought I would share her interpretation:
Proverbs 3- (An Interpretation) by Christin Taylor
What I’m about to tell you
Will lengthen the line of your days
Will harvest a crop of hope:
“In all your ways”
in every road where you put foot to path
in every street [...]

Praying with T.M.

As of lately I haven’t been able to get past this simple, two sentence confession by Thomas Merton:
“My God, I pray better to You by breathing.
I pray better to You by walking than by talking.”
Will I ever get past these two sentences? Perhaps not, but maybe that’s where I need to be for awhile.
